Finding Your Voice Assessment

Certain warning signs can alert you when you’ve lost your voice—clues that indicate you are losing or have already lost a part of yourself.  How many of these top 10 ring true for you?  You know you are losing your voice when you are:

  1. Not getting your needs met, either physically—like sleep or sex;  emotionally, with your family or partner; or financially, in your work or marriage.

  2. Feeling trapped and without choices in your job, in your relationship, or in your life.

  3. Distracted and unable to focus and be in the moment.

  4. Resentful and angry but can’t figure out why.

  5. Always tired because you are emotionally and physically drained.

  6. Thinking there must be something wrong with you.

  7. Feeling underappreciated and undervalued at work and/or home.

  8. Feeling invisible, like you are not being seen, heard, or understood by those closest to you.

  9. Disengaged and just going through the motions of your days.

  10. Feeling unjustified and confused about having these feelings.
